Lorna Roberts on piano/vocals or guitar vocals with bass and drums. The Lorna Roberts Trio plays jazz including standards from the Great American Song Book as well as Brazilian, Bossa Nova and blues.
Lorna Roberts is an incredibly gifted musician, singer, and songwriter. She has a Bachelor´s Degree in Fine Arts (music major with additional courses in drama, playwriting and dance) and a Master´s Degree in Education from the College of Charleston. Lorna has taught in the Charleston County SAIL program (for gifted and talented students) as well as in the regular classroom, including at Ashley River Creative School of the Arts.
Lorna Roberts has performed in Russia and Denmark as well as the World´s Fair in New Orleans. Lorna frequently appears these in Charleston as a solo artist or with various local bands within the Charleston area. Lorna´s repertoire includes: jazz standards, blues, country, rock and roll, beach music, classic R & B, and it doesn´t stop there.
She is coordinator of the local chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association (the largest songwriting organization in the U.S. representing all genres of music) and is currently working on her second CD of original songs.
The Lorna Roberts Trio is a wonderful jazz trio. With Lorna´s bright personality and the great musicians she uses, your event will have a touch of your class!
