Rob Keiter & Charleston Standard Time

Rob Keiter has been singing jazz in different settings since his introduction to jazz as a
teenager growing up in Fort Lauderdale. Rob along with an all star line up of musicians plays
everything from standards from the Great American Song Book, swing, latin, Brazilian, bebop,
and more contemporary songs in an acoustic jazz setting. Since moving to Charleston in 1997,
Rob has been singing with different groups and at different venues over the past ten years.
Rob has his own voice but he´s been compared to vocalists such as Mel Torme, Frank Sinatra,
Sting, Luther VanDross, and Kurt Elling.
Rob currently has a CD available at Cdbaby and ITunes called "Charleston Christmas"
where Rob sings the Christmas Standards in a jazz setting. Rob’s unique voice and passion for jazz
have allowed him to work on a new vocal jazz project entitled, "The Glory of Love" which is
scheduled to be released spring, 2008. On this project Rob is surrounded by some of the very top
recognized jazz musicians from both the West and East coasts in addition to featuring Randy
Brecker, winner of the 2007 Grammy Award for "best jazz instrumental solo" on trumpet and
flugelhorn on four of the twelve songs included on the project. "The Glory of Love" contains
luscious love songs including jazz standards along with modern songs all beautifully arranged
in an acoustic jazz framework.
Performing with Charleston Standard Time, Rob can be booked as a duo (with guitar), a trio (with
guitar and contrabass), a quartet adding either drums or sax, a five piece ensemble adding either
sax or drums plus piano, or a six piece ensemble adding trumpet/flugelhorn to the five piece.
Rob Keiter along with Charleston Standard Time will bring the joy of jazz to many different types
of events, creating a special moment to be remembered. Charleston Standard Time can also be booked
as an instrumental group when requested.
