A wonderful artistic guitarist, lute player, and vocalist. Hazel Ketchum is known for her styles including medieval, renaissance, and folk in addition to original compositions.
Hazel Ketchum plays many instruments and sings. Hazel is best known as a lute player, singer, and member of the early music group Sonus. They have three CD´s released on a major label with great reviews and all the glory that comes with being a medieval musician. Hazel plays for children quite bit these days because she wants an audience that sings and claps along and occasionally has chocolate donut icing on their face. Hazel teaches piano, guitar, voice and songwriting. In the summers you might find Hazel in the Cuyahoga National Park in Ohio where she has been Artist in Residence, or in Little Rock, AR teaching and performing Celtic music, or playing coffee houses up and down the East Coast. Hazel plays concerts for campers, formal house concerts, outdoor concerts and at the train stations. Hazel sings and plays guitar in the Hungry Monks which have recorded several CD´s including Organic Tangerines and All Through the Night. Hazel has been a member of the Donnybrook Legacy and Marsh Grass Mamas.
